  1. Hi Kristin,

I purchased your book last week (and had no idea just HOW new it was!). I am only 1/4 into it and I already love it. I am enjoying it so much that I am including it and a link to your blog in my most recent entry on my blog:

I just had my 2nd son 3 months ago and dealt with a bout of postpartum depression. Many of the concepts you touch on in the book were thoughts going through my mind, so I found this book very helpful in sorting out those thoughts. As a therapist, I can say you’ve done an awesome job of summing up some of the most common thoughts that moms wrestle with when they jump into their new role of mom or hit a bumpy patch along the way. This book is very therapeutic!

Thanks for normalizing the feelings many of us moms have. I hope the book becomes well-known and I plan to do my part in helping that happen by spreading the word.

    Sincerely,
    Tamara H.

    • Tamara! I read your blog post back in October when you left this comment on my blog, but still getting the hang of the blog thing and hadn’t replied. So glad you are liking the book. Did you finish yet? Would love to hear what you thought of the whole thing. It’s rewarding when I hear people say that the book helps them feel not so alone and helps articulate their thoughts and frustrations. Thanks for being willing to help spread the word about the book. I just put up on my site a guide for helping to get the word out. http://www.remodelingmotherhood.com/content/Remodeling_Tools/Remodeling_Tools.asp

      • Kristin,

I actually have not been able to finish the book yet (am halfway through). I’ve been trying hard to complete it, but as a mom, life always seems to get in the way of my reading time. Occupational hazard I guess!

With that said, it’s on my nightstand and I’m slowly chipping away at it. Every new section I read I have an “I completely understand what she’s saying” moment. So I am excited to see what the rest of the book has in store.

I’ll touch base to share my thoughts once I’ve finished it in its entirety and probably write a follow up post on it.

Loving it so far and looking forward to continuing to encourage other moms to read it!

Thanks again for passing along my “Doing What’s Expected of You Still Deserves Recognition” post to your readers.
